I absolutely love summer!!! I love the sun, I love getting brown skin and I love all the fresh lemonade I can get. But with summer time in south Texas comes that scorching heat! My style is already so casual, and along with that I usually have my hair up, but in the summer time it’s definitely up even more.
Since I love to have my hair up 95% of the time, I am swooning over hair accessories! Hair scarfs are a dream, so chic and so girly and can easily dress up any ponytail. Then scrunchies somehow have made it back onto the scene, so basically summer hair looks have never been easier ladies!!
Then there is the infamous ball cap, which I literally wear 2-4 times a week, I mean who has time to be washing their hair everyday? Also ball caps help shield your face from the sun while also protecting your hair from the rays as well!
A little FYI, have you ever shopped the women’s Faded Glory section at Walmart? It is amazing and they literally have like every color and then some, and their caps are seriously under 3$! What? That’s right ladies, you have to check out their selection of caps and hair accessories, asides from Forever 21 you really cannot beat Walmart’s prices and quality!
Salty beach hair is absolutely a summer hair staple! It’s easy to achieve, and the look takes minimal product and time. I know almost every YouTube “beach wave” tutorial you look up will include a curling iron. Personally I skip the iron! Why? The look is called “beach waves” for the reason that when you’re at the beach the salt Water sits in your hair and leaving your hair with that nice wavy textured style. To achieve the beach look at home we use sea salt spray. I don’t use a curling iron at the beach, so I’m not going to use one at home.
It’s so easy to do and it smells so good! The product I use is listed below and it smells just like coconuts. Before adding the salt spray I usually like to add some leave in conditioner, I find it helps hold the loose waves and tames frizz. That too is also listed below.
What is your favorite thing to do in the summer to your hair?
