Along with allowing you to make a few different outfits with just a few pieces!
I did a small try on session with several basics that you probably already have in your closet. Basics allow you to add trendy pieces to your outfit, without the outfit looking like you tried too hard. For the sake of this post I style just basics, with the hopes of giving you a little inspiration. You can look chic in basics! This post is super casual, and I took all the photos in front of my hanging mirror.
Black Denim || Striped T || Pointy Toe Flats
How simple is this look to create? Personally I think all these looks are effortless and easy to create! Casual Basics are the legit mom style, and you cannot go wrong with them. They enable us to run after our kids while looking fashionable and put together. While also allowing us comfort!
For this look I added a pair of stud pointy toe flats, which help make the look a bit more dressy. Along with that, I added a knot to my super casual striped T, which allowed it to fit my body a bit more snug, adding to that dressier feel. Just an FYI, if you can snag some Cotton On T’s, you will be so glad you did. Their t-shirts are fabulous, they hold their shape, and do not shrink!

Denim || Basic T || Cheetah Print
As you can see this look is super casual. As with any outfit, if you add cheetah print, you have certainly upped your outfit game. I added cheetah flats for comfort and style. Also these flats go with just about everything I own! Such a great investment! You can play up this look a bit more with a small front tuck, which helps give this outfit the overall polished look.

This outfit is my go to look for fall, this look makes it so easy to look chic in basics. The look keeps me casual yet chic! I always have my ankles showing, I cuff my skinnies once, which gives that elongated appearance! During Fall I live in sneakers, I am such a wimp as the temperature starts to drop, and I don’t dare go out with sandals once the weather gets cooler. My husband coaches football and once games start, the temperature starts dropping. Sneakers it is, and these Keds are my absolute favorite, I love the triple-decker sole! Black denim also becomes my most lived in item, once the season hits. Then Paired with a long-sleeved chambray shirt, for warmth.
